About the book - Species of the family Otopheidomenidae are mostly associated with insects of orders Hemiptera, Isoptera, Lepidoptera and Orthoptera in many countries, including the USA. They are known to be ectoparasitic on the hosts. In spite of the importance, their bioecological and morphological details are not well studied. The present book, completed after 8 years, fills the void by giving great morphological details of several species that infest Sphingidae (Lepidoptera). Several taxonomic changes are proposed for Otopheidomenidae and superfamily Phytoseioidea that are worth knowing.
